Dr. Zainab Khan

Educational Background

Dr. Zainab Khan completed her ophthalmology training at Queen's University. She subsequently pursued further specialization by completing a residency in uveitis at the Université de Montréal.

Professional Experience

Dr. Khan is an ophthalmologist specializing in uveitis, with extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of ocular pathologies. In addition to her clinical practice, she serves as an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at McGill University and is a Clinical Lecturer at the Université de Montréal.

She currently holds clinical positions at the Jewish General Hospital, the McGill University Health Centre, and Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont. At the Œil Santé MD Pointe-Claire clinic, Dr. Khan accepts patients for a variety of consultations, including cataract evaluations, laser interventions, and general ophthalmology.

Accomplishments and Awards

Dr. Khan is a Certified Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada (FRCS) and holds medical licenses in both Quebec and Ontario. Her dedication to teaching was recognized with the prestigious Frank Buller Award for Most Outstanding Clinical Instructor at McGill University’s Department of Ophthalmology (2018-2019).

Throughout her career, she has received numerous accolades for her academic and research contributions, including the Novartis Research Award, the Dr. Mark Cohen Award in Ophthalmology, and the Professor’s Prize in Ophthalmology at Queen’s University.

Earlier in her training, she was a First Prize co-winner at the University of Western Ontario's Margaret Moffat Research Day and received the M. Naziruddin Ali award for academic excellence and community activism.
